David Benscoter is a former FBI & IRS agent turned “Apple Detective”, who uses the research and documentation skills gained during his career to track down varieties of heritage apples once thought to be lost. These apples represent an important part of homesteader history— a living record whose preservation is even more important as these trees are increasingly threatened by drought and wildfire.
